Dan's Jalepeno Poppers

My husband, Dan likes to make these poppers for special occasions. He's been making them for the Madison Road Artisan Market for years. He makes over 300 and gives them away to market goers. To receive a popper, you have to listen to his story on why this appetizer represents our family perfectly, I would never be able to tell the story the way he does, so you'll just have to come to the market and get one.

10 Jalapeno Peppers

2 Block Cream Cheese

1 Pound Bacon

1 Bottle BBQ Sauce

Wearing disposable gloves, slice each pepper in half lengthwise. Clean out all seeds and white core. (The cleaner, the milder the popper will be)

Fill each pepper with cream cheese.

Cut bacon in half. Wrap each pepper with bacon.

Bake at 400 degrees for 30 minutes. Remove from oven and squirt BBQ sauce over bacon. Place back in the oven for 20 more minutes. Bacon should be crisp.

Serve immediately,

Yields 20 poppers

Enjoy!

Ann
